When I got my new LG VX8300 phone, it had a neat web browser, but like all phones, its texting capability was limited to about 180 characters (whatever the SMS standard was). So I couldn't send large lists straight to my phone via email. I made SMS to bridge that gap and allow me to make large lists on the PC, then post them online on SMS to view on my phone.
It has no security, editing, or deleting functions, so it's pretty much free for all, and should be treated as such. You shouldn't reveal personal information, and all the content of that site is the responsibility of the poster, not mine.
This description is officially longer than the content of the entire site's code.
And yes, the name of the website is a play on SMS of the cell phone world (simple message system?).
